On the recommendation of my dear friend Kamaljeet Singh Sidhu, I recently read a book ‘Ikigai’.
Ikigai is a Japanese term for ‘reason of being’… something one does to live like a flow… the person, the act & the object all become one. There is no significance of measuring time & of the final outcome when a person is in his/her ‘ikigai’.
Though the book objectifies the way to longevity, yet it works to outline the importance of life beyond money, fame, comforts and success. Somehow the idea of longevity is not new to our civilization & the practices of ‘Pranayam’, Yoga & Meditation where in we work on all the aspects of our lives have been established for thousands of years.
This book essentially summarizes the importance of our existence on this blue planet & encourages to find out our ‘Ikigai’…
Thanks a lot to Hector Garcia & Albert Liebermann for writing such a great book… hashtag#ikigaihashtag#hectorgarciahashtag#
